D Day 1944

Omaha Beach
D Day The Invasion of Normandy

On June 6th 1944, the United States, Great Britain and Canada sent their forces onto the beaches of Normandy France. This force was augmented by other countries and Free French.  It was the greatest armada the world had ever seen. Employing over 6900 ships  thousands of men and vast quantities of material. They were invading the European continent to rid it of the forces of fascism and marked the end of Hitler's hold over the continent.  It was and endeavour of  great and immense effort and sacrifice.  That proved very costly in human lives and suffering.  Omaha beach was the most difficult of the landed beaches, of which there were five. The beach was fronted by high palisade type cliffs. That had to be surmounted by the invading force of Americans. Because of this the invasion force had very little area for cover as  they ran out of beach and soldiers were hard pressed to advance. Leaving them in out in the lurch and under the guns of the enemy.

Mounting those cliffs was done with ropes and rope ladders. The cliffs were heavily defended by the enemy. This resulted in casualties exceeding more than 2000 men in just a few hours. This was the initial move that continued across France and the low countries on into Germany.  It was a magnificent  and monumental achievement . It is one of great courage and logistical mastery. The ability to move and disperse those great numbers of men and to do it almost under complete and total secrecy. Is worth taking note of and studying . It is an event and undertaking that changed history and freed millions all over the world. Under the leadership of Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower and others. This was a day to remember. By July 4th overcoming severe storms that battered temporary landing facilities. Over a million men were landed. Almost 100,000 vehicles were landed by as early as  June 19th, and over 600,000 men and 120,000 tons of supplies.

An Oasis of Civil War Carnage

Atists conception of Chatahm Manor over looking Fredericksburg

Chatham Manor Allows You to Stop And Reflect

I  like to visit Civil War battle grounds. I have visited many and have noted the carnage that was produced. The numbers of killed and wounded boggle the mind.  One, Chatham Manor in Virginia stays with me more than that of others. On the banks of the Rappahannock river in Stafford county. Across from the city of Fredericksburg.  It was not actually the scene of a battle but the scene of where wounded Union Soldiers were taken. Soldiers of Gen. Burnside's forces. After a bitter and disastrous defeat. Standing on the bank of the river behind the manor you can see the City of Fredericksburg.  The Manor is only one room wide with a hallway running down the length of it that provided access to each room.  It was constructed in this way to take advantage of the cross breezes that would provide ventilation. The termination of each end of the hall there was a room that capped either end.  It is a stately house. Constructed of red  brick and mortar. It had multiple owners through it's existence. The first being named Fitzhugh. It sat on 1200 hundred acres and was built in 1771. It produced what plantations of the time produced and made income from. The estate was home to at least 100 slaves. It was the site of a slave revolt in 1805 when the slaves protested the early termination of Christmas break by the overseer.  One owner of Chatham willed that all slaves be set free in and around the 1850s but the will was deemed to be null and void. When challenged in court by a new owner of the manor.
Chatham Manor Today

The notable people that visited the Manor were George Washington, Lincoln and later George Marshall and Dwight Eisenhower. Although no battles were fought on the site. The surrounding areas were scenes of intense fighting. Clara Barton  founder of the Red Cross and Walt Whitman were volunteers at the manor. Which was used as a hospital and rest area. I had a chance to glimpse at a diary kept by Barton that described arms and legs that were amputated stacked up to the sills of the first floor windows. The fact that it was not the actual scene of active fighting also allowed me to pause. I stood and tried to imagine what it was like to be there and reflect upon the time it was used for the purpose of healing wounds amputations and burying the dead. It was sort of a rest area for me as well. When standing on the banks I tried to imagine soldiers of each side communicating with each other. By sending notes across the river on little boats made of sticks and leaves. Later to perhaps be thrown into battle against each other.

Obama's Modus Operarandi Similar to Facists

This is for you Obama
Obama The Modern Fascist

History is a great teacher too bad we never learn from our mistakes. If you investigate the rise of Hitler and Mussolini. You will find that Obama is obtaining power in much the same way.  You will realize that they operate in much the fashion and get what they want by doing the same things. The difference is that unlike the two fascists leaders Obama is not a nationalist. On the contrary, he degrades the nation and apologizes for it.  Only in different countries and in different times. The countries of Germany and Italy had problems with national identity and were beaten down.  Americans believe they are exceptional.  So the tact is different.  The American people will suffer in the same way that the people of Italy and Germany suffered. Only there will not be a U.S. to help us throw off the yoke of oppression and tyranny.  Fascism is often described as right wing nationalism. In actuality it is just another form of socialism. National Socialism. Hitler and Mussolini pushed Nationalism. That is where those two men arise above Obama. He denounces the country that he says he was born in. I don't believe he was born any where near the U.S.

Obama is the devil that raises it's ugly head every once in a while. The democratic party is his black and brown shirt army of thugs and brutal task masters. That force you to give up what is rightfully yours and they skim off the top. They are robbing you of everything, especially your dignity. These are bad men that are corrupt and truly the army of Satan. The way they think was recently expressed by Java the Hut look alike Ms. Lewis head of the Chicago teachers union. Who said,  to her, lazy good for nothing teachers union member audience.  Don't expect them to legislate the rich to give up their money". They think it is a good thing to rob someones money. Resounding applause followed. Imagine these people go in and teach this to the kids in the school system. No wonder Chicago is the worst crime ridden city. They kill indiscriminately every day. The teachers union is always looking for a raise. Even though they produce a product that can't read their own diplomas. If they stay alive long enough to get one.

Look who Obama represents for the most part. The dregs of society, the lazy, the envious,  the parasites. He is a parasite in his own right. This is a man that I would have thrown out of my establishment by the seat of his pants. A person I would avoid at all costs. If he ever did cross my path I would spit on the floor before then turn my back and fart as I walked away.
